About

A professional organization serving NYC to support the personal and professional growth of nurses and help increase the number of male nurses in nursing.
NYC of AAMN was formed in order to support the personal and professional growth of men in nursing, to increase the number of male nurses in the profession, to address men’s health issues, and more broadly, to advocate for the pursuit of healthy living on the individual, community, and national levels. As we foster the talents of our own members, perhaps we will learn a little more about ourselves, each other, and this dynamic city in which we live: New York.

Description

This will be our official Blog page. The page is intended to be a means of communication among members. As we grow, it will be important to remember that the contents of this page will go down in the history of the group, so to speak. Also, although this will be a great way to spread information, official chapter decisions will be made at chapter meetings. Discussions here on the page will not necessarily determine official policy. Please look forward to updates regarding meetings, social events, and outreach. New members will be invited to this group page as they join the chapter.  Information will also be updated on the Facebook page found here:

The Association expects this to be the start of something special, and I encourage all of you to make it your own. After all, it is ours to grow and share as we see fit. Here’s to the good (healthy) life.
